Universal Proto Support

This stand is unique on the market. It has been designed to be easily modular for all our installations or seasonal activities, and is suitable for all Sprinter, Promaster and Transit vehicles (with the appropriate hinge fixings for each vehicle model). The Proto stand is easy to dismantle and configure in terms of height and location of the fixing crossbars. It is sold with two crossbars, but it is possible to add three, four or even five depending on your needs.

Designed for the installation of multiple practical accessories or storage for your items such as BBQ, sports equipment, or others, that you do not want to keep inside your living space. The supports are designed to follow the opening movement of the doors, thus facilitating access to the interior of the vehicle.

Specifications:

• 6061 aluminum bracket.
• Fully TIG welded construction.
• Load capacity of 200 lbs, including the weight of the rack.
• Weight of bracket with fixing and hardware: 24 lbs.
• 308 stainless steel hinge bracket.
• Stainless steel mounting hardware.
• Textured black powder coat baked paint.
• Suitable for Promaster vans, with or without rear windows.
• Two mounting crosspieces included with each bracket.

Warnings:

• Do not add additional items such as fuel cans or the like to the outside of the box. This will void your warranty as it significantly increases the leverage of the weight when closing the door.
• When the carrier is fully loaded, the door should be closed gently and not slammed.
• This bracket model can interact and be detected by the reversing proximity sensors.
• Overloading boxes or accessories may damage doors and hinges, voiding your warranty.

Assembly :

The brackets are installed using the existing bolts on the rear doors, without the need to drill new holes (only two small holes to be made behind the Mercedes logo of the Sprinter vehicles). A set of two mounting crossbars is included with each bracket. Installation is offered at $150 in our establishment.
